We are all pet-parents ourselves and understand that family pets are a true part of the family, and that the relocation of the pets often causes the biggest concern for adults as well as children. To us every pet relocation is a personal mission and many of our relocated “pet kids” and their families keep in touch year after year.

From the Hart family (ExxonMobil) now living in Singapore
We rescued our dog, Ruben, during our stay in Doha.  After a horrible start in life and a 9 month stay in a rescue centre, Ruben was a very nervous soul.  He is, however, a very loving dog and an extremely important part of the Hart Family.  When we heard we were leaving Doha and heading over to Singapore, we, and especially our two children Tasha and Tyler, were really worried about how he was going to cope with the move.  Despite Singapore being relatively organised, we knew that we would need help to work Ruben through the Qatar airport authorities, and care for him for the few days between us moving out of our house and actually leaving Qatar.

We mentioned our worries to our vet, Paul, and he suggested that we contact Charlotte and Nicky at Qatar Pet Travel.  We knew that things were going to work out well when the first time Nicky visited, Ruben was willing to make friends with her straight away, something he NEVER did to first time visitors.  Nicky took personal charge and led us through every step, from size of transport crate to who to use at the other end.  On the day Ruben left home Nicky came to pick him up, she sent us email up-dates through his short stay with her, took him to the airport personally and emailed/text-ed us constantly during transit.   Qatar Pet Travel definitely made what could have been a very stressful time much easier to deal with.  Ruben had a 30 day stay in quarantine, but came out very relaxed and has settled really well into his new life in Singapore.   We hope that when we have to move again we will be lucky enough to again find someone as good as Qatar Pet Travel to get Ruben to his next destination."

From the moment I received my first email from Qatar Pet Travel answering all my crazy questions, I had a very comforting feeling. As a mom, I was a nervous wreck just thinking about shipping my little 9 year old Shih Tzu, Chance, from Houston (Texas) half away around the world to Doha, Qatar. 

Nicky Roffey with Qatar Pet Travel was absolutely wonderful!  She explained in detail the entire process from start to finish. So kind and reassuring!

From Kristine Cala and Greg Dudley (Australian Embassy) now living in India
We cannot find words enough to express what a wonderful service we got from Qatar Pet Travel when Charlotte, Bent and Nicky looked after our Australian kelpie/blue heeler cross Pepper for nearly three months, in mid 2008, while we were moving from Lebanon to India.  

Pepper was treated like one of the family from the very beginning and given every opportunity to enjoy her stay including lots of outdoor excursions, plenty of space to run about in and plenty of love and attention.  Clearly QPT love dogs - and what else do you need to know when you entrust the care of your dog to someone else?

 We received full and regular reports about Pepper's progress including photographs, as well as regular communications at all times from the QPT team about her travel arrangements for India (which by the way were handled impeccably).  We are definitely planning to return Pepper to QPT when the time comes for her to do 6 months quarantine prior to returning to live in Australia - we will miss her but we know that she could not be in a better place.

We have been here in Doha just a few months and I would like to share with you our experience with Pet Qatar Travel; they were awesome!

Bitsy is our Baby and she brings such pleasure into our lives, and I have to say she's totally spoilt. On 17th August this year, she travelled From Miri to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and then on to Doha in one day. It was a huge trip and she had never travelled before. We had many sleepless nights worrying how she would cope, who would meet her and what condition she would arrive in. We had no idea how to get a visa for her or who to speak to.

We searched the Internet for help. Qatar Pet Travel came to our rescue they took care of everything. They were in regular contact with us daily. Bitsy's visa was then organised and she was coming. She arrived safely and cleared through customs we didn't even have to go to the airport.

Pet Qatar travel delivered her to our new home and it was a great reunion, Bitsy looked Fabulous and very happy to see everyone. We totally recommend Pet Qatar Travel they are very kind, friendly animal lovers. Thank so much Guys for everything!

From the Howorths, now living in Abu Dhabi
Obviously any move that involves shipping dogs is a concern; well it needn't be when using QPT.  Nicky took control of ALL  the paperwork, finding crates big enough for the travel to picking up the dogs, delivering them to the airport and making sure the dogs were received over in Abu Dhabi.

The help I received from Nicky was way above expectations and it made our move as a family so much easier.  Once again Nicky, thank you for the time and energy you put in with Clay and Maisy.

Bella is my beautiful, white, companion cat of seven years, who has lived in three countries with me. On leaving Qatar I was determined to have her join me in China. The worry was whether she would be safely transported out of an Arab country, and arrive safely in China, which was also an unknown quantity for me.

Bella's experience and mine with Qatar Pet Travel was wonderful. All the arrangements went exactly to plan, were smooth and as traumatic free as such a long journey could be. Bella was hand delivered to me and was very good condition, immediately purring on arrival. Chris & Sarah Milburn (RasGas), now living in Australia
Our experience of Qatar Pet Travel has been fantastic. The moment we met Nicky and saw how she reacted with our cats we knew they would be OK. Nicky dealt directly with our vet, the Qatar Authorities and the Airline for us all as part of the service. The paperwork for the Australian authorities was sent to use through email, we just had to print, complete & sign, scan it and send it with payment details to AQIS in Australia. The turnaround was very quick.

Approaching the day of their flight Nicky was very reassuring, she checked that we were OK as well, collected the transport boxes for the cats, modified them to make them more secure, then brought them back fully prepared to fly. It was sad to see the cats go but we knew they were in good hands. Right through the process and travel Nicky kept us up to date with email and SMS including a phone call when she knew the cats were en route and then when they arrived in Australia and were handed to AQIS. We visited them in quarantine 3 weeks later in Western Australia and found the cats settled in. The staff told us they had arrived in good health and had started eating straight away, always a good sign.

Our cats were home with us in under 40 days, which would not have been possible without the advice and assistance of Qatar Pet Travel. When moving from one country to another with all the activities of packing, selling, immigration, work etc having a service like this removes a whole heap of dealing with Qatar officialdom at its best. I couldn’t recommend Qatar Pet travel more strongly. We did have to send photos to Nicky as well when we first saw the cats so she knew they were OK, it really is a pick up and deliver service!

In my experience they treated our pet as they're own, going at times well and truly over and above the call of duty.
We personally had quite a drama over relocating our dog Muffin, but Qatar Pet Travel never stopped caring and working relentlessly to ensure she was able to join us in our new country.

I cannot recommend Q.P.T enough. We had managed to acquire a 2nd kitten to go with our dog and cat we already, had just weeks before leaving Doha to head back to the UK. As we were pre-occupied enough with the move Nicky's advice was invaluable. The move was stressful enough and the fact that she took care of everything for us was a godsend. I used Qatar Pet Travel to relocate my three dogs from Qatar to the United Arab Emirates. Prior to relocating them I was exceptionally nervous as to how the dogs would be looked after - would they be mishandled at the airport, would they be left in the heat on the runway, would they hurt themselves trying to get out of the crates.

Nicky accompanied me to size the crates for the dogs, explained how to get the dogs comfortable in the crates a few weeks before hand, picked the dogs up from my house, and stayed with them at the airport to ensure that they were correctly looked after. She helped arrange the transportation of the dogs on the other end also, and in all ways went above and beyond her job to ensure that the dogs and I were reassured. She even took photos of the dogs and stuck them on the crates to personalise the dogs for anyone handling the crates.

I cannot thank Nicky enough for making the process bearable in terms of logistics and emotionally for the whole family. I would recommend Qatar Pet Travel to everyone.
